Coloring contest open to children

The city of Calabasas is host- ing an environmentally-themed coloring contest open to stu- dents in elementary and middle schools, "How Can You Help the Environment by Recy- cling?" Students may submit hand-created drawing on 8-and- a-half by 11-inch format in land- scape orientation.

Send contest entries to the city of Calabasas Environmen- tal Services Division by Mon., Nov. 7. The Environmental

Commission will select 13 win- ners based on creativity and theme.

The winning drawings will be printed in the 2007 city of Calabasas Community Recy- cling Awareness Calendar. The first-place winner will be printed on the cover. Each winner will receive a $25 gift certificate.
