ISWest branches out

With its main data center expected to hit full capacity by the end of this year, business broadband provider ISWest is building an additional 16,500-square-foot facility in Agoura Hills, company officials said.

The ISWest expansion will cost between $2.5 and $3 million and is scheduled to open in April.

"With so many great companies taking up residency along to 101 corridor, it makes dollars and sense for ISWest to create a world-class data center that companies can come to for their Internet needs," said Drew Kaplan, ISWest chief executive.

The new facility is intended to provide ISWest custom- ers multiple fiber paths to the Internet. The site also is con- nected via gigabit fiber to ISWest's current data center.

"This will allow our customers to place equipment at both locations and load balance traffic between them," Kaplan said.
