The Department of Community Services of the city of Agoura Hills will present the following activities.
The Agoura Hills Senior Center will spend three days and two nights at the Flamingo Hotel at Laughlin, Nev. The trip includes bus, hotel room, baggage handling, taxes and complimentary fun book. It leaves from the Agoura Hills Recreation Center at 8 a.m. Tues., Sept. 26 and return at 6 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 28. Registered members of the senior center are welcome; the cost is $88 for double occupancy and $108 for single occupancy.
Heartsaver CPR class will teach adult, child and infant CPR, defibrillator, rescue breathing, barrier device usage, choking, safety issues and SIDS information. Students will receive a manual, handout information and an American Heart Association two-year CPR certification card upon course completion. The class will be from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 28. The cost is $35 plus a $15 non-refundable lab fee payable to the instructor.
The First Aid Basic Session will cover sudden illness, seizures, bleeding, burns, poisoning, bee stings, Epi-pen usage, and heatand cold-related issues. Students will receive a first aid booklet, poison packet of information, poison control magnets, quick reference sheet and an American Red Cross three-year certification card upon course completion. The class will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 5.
Children's gymnastics classes will be taught by trained instructors from Stretch-N-Grow Enrichment Group on Saturdays starting Oct. 7 for eight weeks. Class 1 for ages 3-and-a-half to 5 years will be from 9:35 to 10:20 a.m. Class 2 for ages 6 through 9 years will be from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. The cost is $100.
