Woman's Club to meet

The Thousand Oaks Woman's Club will host its first meeting of the new year at 10:30 a.m., followed by luncheon and entertainment, on Wed., Sept. 27 at the Palm Garden Hotel, 495 Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park.

Tracy Henry and his wife will provide entertainment with "Two for the Show," featuring upbeat jazz and swing.

During the past 40 years the club has contributed to such organizations as the Thousand Oaks Library system, Civic Arts Plaza, Gardens of the World, Alex Fiore Thousand Oaks Teen Center and Stagecoach Inn. An annual fundraiser is scheduled each year to gain philanthropic funds for local charities in the Conejo Valley.
