The city of Calabasas Community Services Department is offering a series of fall classes. All courses meet at Juan Bautista de Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills, Calabasas, unless otherwise noted.
+"Wild and Crazy Dog Obedience" is for dog owners ages 16 and up. This class will teach owners how to solve their dog's pesky problems and train the animal to listen. Basic obedience commands will be taught. Dogs must be 4 months or older. The class meets on Tuesdays for eight weeks, from Sept. 26 through Nov. 21 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Gates Canyon Park. The cost is $65.
+"Caped Crusaders: A Superhero Workshop" is a creative and imaginative workshop that encourages boys and girls to uncover a secret identity and become their very own superhero. Each week is a brand new adventure. The class is on Friday mornings from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. from Sept. 29 through Dec. 8. The fee is $145.
+A babysitting class on Sat., Sept. 30 teaches many of the basics that a babysitter encounters. Participants will learn the business of babysitting, family interviews, professional behavior, problem solving/decision making skills, telephone safety topics, baby care basics, basic first aid and CPR/choking skills for child and infant. The class will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and costs $35.
