Seniors can learn to protect assets
Attorney Alice A. Salvo will present a free seminar for senior citizens on "How to Protect Your Assets from Nursing Home Costs" on Wed., Sept. 27 at the Hilton, 6360 Canoga Ave., Woodland Hills. Two identical sessions will be given from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m.
Participants can learn the necessary steps that allow the state of California to pay for nursing home costs and how seniors can qualify for Medi-Cal long-term care benefits while preserving house and retirement savings.

Leases signed
Westlake Village recently became home to several new office tenants as companies continue to be attracted to the desirable Conejo Valley business address.
At the Westlake Office Park at 340 N. Westlake Blvd, Peprotech Inc. leased 1,095 square feet.
The company, which manufactures and produces cytokines for major biotech companies, is based in New Jersey but will use the local satellite office to support the company's West Coast operations.
Office broker CB Richard Ellis represented the property landlord, Illinois-based Sheffield Properties, in the lease transaction. Peprotech was represented by Aaron Keswick of NAI Capital Commercial.
Arden Realty signed a fiveyear lease agreement with Tranquest Ventures for 2,667 square feet at the Westlake Gardens at 2555 Townsgate Road,
At 2815 Townsgate Road, Vaco Los Angeles leased 2,994 square feet in the Westlake Plaza Center 3. The property landlord, Duesenberg Investment Company, entered into a five-year lease agreement with Vaco, a Los Angles company that provides specialized professional recruiting services.
