De Anza begins children's classes

The city of Calabasas Community Services Department will offer Parent and Child Classes at De Anza Park for children ages 18 months to 4 years old. Class themes include Underwater Adventure, Holiday Happenings, Petite Painters, Cooking with Mommy, Little Scientists and Dr. Suess on the Loose. The six-week class meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning Sept. 26.

Dance It Up With Cheer will teach cheerleaders proper arm

motions, basic stunts, jumps, dances, cheers and flexibility. A team-like atmosphere is emphasized. The class runs Tuesdays from Sept. 26 through Nov. 14, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. The class fee is $60.

Tiny Tots Acting Troupe help preschoolers develop their imagination and creativity by bringing nursery rhymes and storybook characters to life on stage from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 28 through Nov. 2. The fee is $50.
