Coastal Cleanup Day for Calabasas

The 22nd annual California Coastal Cleanup Day will take place at Calabasas locations from 9 a.m. to noon on Sat., Sept. 16. Volunteers can meet at either Cold Creek Preserve or Headwaters Corner to assist with beautification efforts. Participants can receive credit for community service hours.

Volunteers will be working in a natural garden setting to restore native plants and California bunch grasses. For more information and required reservations, call (818) 591-1701, ext. 203.

Volunteers will help restore habitat along Dry Canyon Creekdo native plantings and non-native plant removal and site restoration.

Coastal Cleanup Day is a statewide beach and shoreline clean up held throughout California each year, the largest such clean up in the country which takes place on the third Saturday of every September in all 50 states.
