Foster kids to receive school supplies
     More than 200 new backpacks filled with school supplies were delivered to children in Ventura County's foster care system in time to start the new school year, thanks to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Agoura, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, and Newbury Park.

     From 1 to 3 p.m. Sun., Sept. 17 the Holiday FunShop will offer a fun experience for children of all ages at the Conejo Jewish Academy. It will include the Shofar factory where children will learn how a Shofar is made. There will be prizes, refreshments, crafts and a story time.
