The Westlake Village Library will host an exhibit of Chinese brush painting (watercolors on rice paper) by WuShaun through Nov. 3.

The artist was born and raised in Taiwan and moved to the U.S. in the mid-1990s. His work is on rice paper, inspired

by traditional Chinese themes and experiments with bringing forms to life in an unconventionally vivid fashion. Her paintings embody the spirit of modern Taiwan by balancing a struggle to preserve tradition with adopting to forces in the global culture.
