LaLeche League to host auction, luncheon benefit

La Leche League of Thousand Oaks and Agoura Hills will host a silent auction luncheon fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wed., Sept. 20 at Borchard Community Park, 250 Reino Road in Thousand Oaks.

The event will include free food and children's entertainment. The public is invited.

All proceeds will benefit the local La Leche League groups.

The league is a nonprofit, nonsectarian volunteer organization that provides information and encouragement to all mothers who want to breastfeed their babies.

Local groups meet at the Newbury Park Library on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. and at Westlake City Hall on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.. Mothers of nursing toddlers meet at Triunfo

Park in Westlake Village on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. Meetings are free, babies are welcome and membership is not required to attend.
