Buy a photo session to support grad night

Since 1993, parents of Oak Park High School seniors have sponsored Grad Nite, an annual substance-free, all-night celebration on graduation night. Students and parents raise funds all year to help pay for the special night.

Community members can have a family portrait taken or get the car washed to help support Oak Park High School's senior class.

Families can schedule a portrait session through Jan. 15 with professional photographer Steven Ridnor of Artology in Oak Park. The $25 cost includes the sitting fee and several photos. Holiday photos must be taken by Nov. 15. To

On Sat. and Sun., Sept. 9 and 10, the students will hold a car wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the school parking lot. Seniors will wash cars for $5 each and SUVs for $7.

All proceeds from the fundraisers will go toward the school's Grad Nite 2007 celebration.

"It's their last night to be together," said Wendy Einbund, a Grad Nite 2007 organizer. "There's no alcohol and no one is driving, so you know your child is safe."
