Ventura County resident supports Lowe's project As a Westlake Village resident who happens to live on the Ventura County side of things, I won't be able to vote in the November 7 election that could bring the Town Center to my community. But I am a member of this community and will be impacted nonetheless. I supported the Town Center when the city council deadlocked in January and I support it now. This is not public land, folks. This is private land which will be sold to an office complex developer if the Town Center measure is not passed by residents who can vote on Nov. 7. If I could vote, I would vote for more dining options, closer shops and the convenience of a home improvement store nearby. I would vote for the Town Center which will mean no significant impact on traffic. An office complex, which is the only other option we're going to get, contrary to what others like to dream about, will just clog our roads during morning and evening rush hours. No, thank you. I call on my fellow residents who live on the Los Angeles County side of our community to exercise their right to vote on Nov. 7 and make a difference for us all. Vote for the Town Center-it's the right fit for Westlake Village. Susan Nagy Westlake Village |
