Don't believe Lowe's 'spin'

Michael Edelstein and Barbara Ericson are both right on point in revealing truth instead olies as regards the Lowe's projecand the information being disseminated.

The document which Erickson referred to in pointing to the truth about design controwas prepared by the city's attorney at the direction of the city council and is available for all to verify for themselves on the city'website "elections" link.

That document, the Plain Language Description on Measure Z, makes clear that the Lowe's measure alters not just the current design review process of the city, but also the signage-allowing Lowe's to erect freeway and directional signs (Condition 35 and exhibit 2B), removal of seven oak trees (draft environmental impact report page ES-9), reduced parking-the city parking ordinance requires 1,192 spaces and Lowes will provide only 945 (Condition 27), and extended operation and delivery hours (Condition 83 and 84).

Also the draft EIR actually shows a Lowe's would have slightly worse traffic at four intersections versus the office project.

I urge everyone to look at the facts and don't believe the spins. These are city documents and available for you to see who is telling the truth and who is not.

You can also go to www.savewestlake.com to get accurate information. Once you see what the facts really are, I know you will join me in voting "no" on election day and help save Westlake Village. Cheryl Tabbi Westlake Village
