Agoura's Fiance honored as U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American
Alex Fiance Alex Fiance, a senior attackman and midfielder from Westlake Village, capped off his high school academic and lacrosse career at Agoura High by being named a U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American.
Fiance, a valedictorian and four-year starter for the Chargers, achieved a 4.5 GPA, was a National Merit Scholar, AP Scholar with distinction and California Scholarship Federation Gold Sealbearer, among other academic accolades including awards in art and computer animation.
On the lacrosse field, he was the third-leading scorer for the Agoura team this season, and led the team in ground balls and average ground balls per game.
His performance included a two-goal, five-assist game in the semifinals of the Southern California Lacrosse Association championship, where he helped lead the team to victory. Fiance also had two goals in the championship game loss to Oak Park.
He also served as president of the Agoura High Lacrosse Club, of which he was a founder in 2004.
Next season Fiance will take his talents to USC, where he's earned an academic scholarship. He will continue to play lacrosse for the Trojans.
