Supports Lowe's Town Center I support the Town Center because I understand it's the right choice for our community and the better choice compared to an office complex. I live in Westlake Village and I do not want to struggle with even worse rushhour traffic in the mornings and evenings. Opponents toss around plenty of numbers that sound scary, don't they. Opponents can chose to do the math however they want, but the common denominator remains the same: This site will be developed and the type of development dictates the type of traffic we see. With an office complex, traffic with be concentrated (i.e., much worse) during morning and evening rush hours. With the Town Center, visitors will be spread throughout the day. Certainly the Town Center will have visitors on the weekend, whereas an office complex would just be a darkened hulk of a building. The Town Center's visitors aren't going to be lined up when you're trying to get to work or back home to be with your family. Put aside the obvious benefits to our traffic flow that the Town Center provides versus an office complex. When I consider the increased dining options that will be around the corner and the beautiful Lowe's that's been designed (have you seen the rendering online?) I feel a sense of pride that I can be a part of bringing such a beautiful shopping center to Westlake Village. Vote to approve the Town Center on Nov. 7 and share that sense of pride with me.
