Clean bill of health

Last week at the Agoura Animal Shelter, the last of our two hard-working washers broke down within a day of each other. It was a disaster for the shelter with the amount of washing we do daily, and all day, to keep our animals comfortable with blankets, beds and towels.

The Acorn kindly agreed to print our plea for donated washers and dryers, and as always our wonderful supportive public came through.

We have caught up our monstrous pile of laundry and are back in business thanks to the kind generosity of those who donated washers and dryers. I would also like to thank those who did not have a washer to donate, but offered to chip in money to help us buy a new one.

Once again the public's help and support has allowed us to continue to keep those animals that stay with as comfortable as possible.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, paws, hoofs and claws from the staff, volunteers and all the animals at the Agoura Animal Shelter. Robin Kahrs Agoura Animal Shelter
