Youth remake trash into useful items

PAPER PROJECT-Chris Schafer, 13, of Agoura is using cardboard from the inside of milk cartons to create environmentally-friendly, sun-baked postcards at the Making Paper workshop at Soka University on Sunday. Participants brought paper-based milk cartons soaked in water for weeks prior to the workshop. Soka University is at 6800 W. Mulholland Hwy., Calabasas. For information, call (818) 878-3741.
