Wildlife Center to screen movie

CineMalibu and the California Wildlife Center will host an evening of live music and an outdoor screening of the family film "Fly Away Home" at 6 p.m. Sat., Aug. 19 at Malibu Bluffs Park.

The center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of native wildlife,

The event is free, but donations to the wildlife center will be accepted. Food and beverages provided by D'Amore's Pizza will be available for purchase.

Parking will be available at and adjacent to Malibu Bluffs Park at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu Canyon Road.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Live music begins at 6 p.m. with The Mornings, followed by Unison Music recording artist Marianne Keith.

A screening of "Fly Away Home," starring Jeff Daniels and Anna Paquin, will begin at dusk. The film is the story of a family of orphaned geese who have become lost on their migration home, and the 14-year-old girl who leads them to their destination.
