Stop the war

Regarding the letter, "Stop the war (theirs, not ours)," I would like to propose a simple solution to the seemingly endless battles in the Middle East. Accept the fact that Israel has a right to exist. They are a peaceful nation and only respond to aggression when attacked-let history be the judge of that.

Could you image what it would be like if Israel's neighbors devoted the same amount of money, resources and energy into bettering their countries and creating a viable economy? Instead of shooting rockets into civilian territory, redirect the hatred into something useful- perhaps building universities and educating the citizenry to compete in a global economy.
