Calabasas transit no longer serving gated communities

To comply with state transit laws regarding private property, the Calabasas public transportation routes to Bay Laurel Elementary School will no longer enter gated communities.

The shuttles will continue to stop on Parkway Calabasas at Park Granada, Paseo Primario, and Camino Portal, city officials said.

Overall, the Calabasas public transportation program has been expanded to better serve public school areas, officials said.

The new routes will go into effect Aug. 28.

The public transportation is free to Calabasas residents and all routes are now being finalized.
