Ban the ban on cellphones

So The Acorn supports no cellphones. So Calabasas has a no smoking ordinance that is the laughingstock of the U.S. And we are going to ban Styrofoam, and now cellphones? What's next?

Does anyone at The Acorn have students who have stuff to do after school where communication is vital to getting them to where they need to go? Anyone ever have to rush from place to place after school with kids, their friends, schedules changing constantly, etc?

Are we going to require pulling the car over so we can make calls and cause more accidents than will occur from that maneuver? How about banning a conversation with someone in the passenger seat, or the back seats? Seems to me that's at least as distracting than a cellphone.

How about eating in a car? It takes more than one hand for that. Or brushing your hair? Heck, let's just ban cars altogether. That solves it! Howard Benson Calabasas
