Kickboxing and soccer classes are a kick

Zacharatos Karate and Kickboxing and Soccer of Calabasas has introduced a new series of morning, afternoon, and evening classes for ages 3 through adult.

Cost is $10 per class.

Classes are taught at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center and at A.C. Stelle Middle School, Calabasas.

In the soccer class, participants will learn the basic fundamentals of soccer and then apply

these new skills in practice games (scrimmaging). Classes are offered in six-week sessions Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at A.C. Stelle Middle school for ages 3 to 5 and ages 6 to 8.

The Zacharatos family has lived in Calabasas for more than 10 years. The husband and wife team includes Master Zacharatos, who is a fifth degree black belt in American tang soo do karate, a former pro-kickboxing champion rated top 10 in the world and a former international karate champion, with more than 25 years of teaching experience.

His wife, Jamie BenAzizZacharatos, is a second degree black belt in American tang soo do karate with nearly 15 years of teaching experience.
