Baxter scholarships awarded

Aria Safar of Westlake Village and Alexander Chai of Agoura Hills each received a $1,000 scholarship from The Baxter International Foundation, which gives awards each year to outstanding students who intend to enroll at an accredited college, university or vocation-technical school.

Safar and Chai were selected from more than 300 applicants based on their academic records and personal achievements.

Students may apply to the program if a parent is employed for at least three years by Baxter International Inc.

Scholarship America, a national nonprofit education support and student aid service organization, manages The Baxter International Foundation Scholarship Program.
