Safe in the hands of firefighters

We would like to thank the more than 200 Los Angeles and Ventura County firefighters, trainees, and helicopter crews who worked so diligently and accurately to douse the fire that scorched over 20 acres of our property on "Mount Chet" in Westlake Village on Sat., July 8.

Thankfully, the fire was on our "back 40" and did not threaten our home. However, we watched the fire spread 600 feet up one of our knolls in about eight minutes, causing us much alarm. Chet was ready with our fire hose in case the wind changed direction.
