The Calabasas Chamber of Commerce announces two upcoming events for members and the public at large.

On July 20 there will be a business mixer at 5:30 p.m. atTelesis Community Credit Union, 6203 Topanga Canyon Blvd. in Woodland Hills. Smoothie drinks will be provided by Robeks of Calabasas.Admission is free.

On July 27, guest speaker Gary Lysik, chief financial officer for the city of Calabasas, will present "How to Create or FineTune Your Business Plan to Maximize Your Profits."

Guest speaker Scott Taylor, CEO of TaylorMade Marketing, will speak on "Building Your Marketing Action Plan" on Thurs., July 20 at a 7 p.m. networking meeting at The Life Change Center, 21777 Ventura Blvd., Ste. 231, Woodland Hills

The business-builder workshop and luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Calabasas Inn, 23500 Park Sorrento. Admission is $25 for members and $40 for non-members and those without reservations.

Dave Solan was recently installed as a sales trainer by Pacific Water Conditioning of Newbury Park.

Solan brings 35 years of experience to the local water conditioning company, which has been serving homes and businesses from Hidden Hills to Oxnard for 46 years.

Pacific Water Conditioning rents and sells drinking water and water conditioning filters for both home and office.

"The product sells itself," Solan said, "and the fact that the consumer can rent equipment on a month-to-month basis or purchase a system makes my job easy."
