Lowe's petition moves ahead

I want to thank everyone who worked so diligently to ensure we gathered enough signatures to place the Town Center at Westlake Village on the Nov. 7 ballot. And I want to thank everyone who signed the petition.

I've supported this project from the very beginning because I believe firmly that this is the right project for our community. I'm glad so many of you showed you feel the same way by supporting the petition.

The benefits that the Town Center project brings to our city far outweigh those that yet another office complex bring. Voting for the Town Center on Nov. 7 is the only way to prevent another non-revenue producing office complex from rising up in our city. And the only way to prevent even more rush hour traffic that will clog Lindero Canyon Road every morning when parents are trying to get their children to school.

Westlake Village deserves this project.
