Hours are 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. The kick-off party is set for Tues., July 11 featuring Craig Newton's "How the West Was Sung," a sing-along taking audiences from 1850 to the present with music representing the different groups of people who moved West: miners, settlers, railroad workers, cowboys, outlaws, Indians and others. Children will feed sheep, goats, poultry, horses and two longhorns. Other ranch activities include tortilla making, games, crafts and stories. All family members may attend. "The summer program is one of our most popular events at the museum," said general manager Angela Schwanz.“As a real working rancho, the grounds provide families a unique experience of spending a day in the life of a rancho."
