Church of Religious Science to host guest speaker At 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sun., July 23, guest speaker Mary Manin Morrissey will speak at the Westlake Church of Religious Science, 880 Hampshire Road, Suites V and W, Westlake Village. Morrissey is a minister, teacher and author. She has a bachelor's degree in education, a master's degree in counseling psychology and a Doctorate of Humane Letters. She founded and for 23 years served as senior minister of the Living Enrichment Center. Morrissey is also the author of two bestselling books, "Building Your Field of Dreams," which was adapted into a one-hour PBS special, and "No Less Than Greatness." Together with the Gandhi and King Foundations, she addressed the United Nations as national cochair for the Season of Nonviolence. In conjunction with the Association for Global New Thought, Morrissey co-facilitated "The Synthesis Dialogues" with the Dalai Lama and other world leaders. In "Building Your Field of Dreams," Morrissey encourages readers to follow their dreams. Using examples from many dreambuilders, Morrissey shows how individuals can identify their deepest desires, build a partnership with God, confront obstacles and failure, and overcome the mental blocks that keep some people from their potential. In "No Less Than Greatness," Morrissey affirms that people are not alone in their spiritual search. According to the author, when individuals learn to ask for and listen to divine guidance, they access a different kind of wisdom.
