Mad Science, Kindermusik programs in Calabasas

The city of Calabasas Community Services Department offers a Mad Science summer camp in two sessions in July at Grape Arbor Park in Calabasas.

The first session is from July 10 to 14 and the second is from July 24 to 28. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The fee is $185 per session.

These are camp programs specially designed to keep participants interested and active for hours with new experiments and projects. Daily themes are: the

organ trail, scent of the crime, radical reactions, chemical counting and cell city.

Also offered this summer are Kindermusik classes for the very young and their parents. These courses feature singing, dancing and playing instruments while bolstering a child's developmental skills.

Classes are on Tuesdays beginning July 11 at DeAnza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road, Calabasas Hills. The fee is $60 for a sixweek course. For more information, call (818) 880-6461.
