Reader wary of next Westlake Village mayor

After being a resident of the city since before it was established, it is frightening to me that Jim Bruno is going to be the next mayor.

His behavior to the city staff at the meetings is a disgrace.

At the meeting in January when many of us wanted to speak about the Lowe's project, he spent two hours questioning the plans. At the meeting on June 14 I could not believe that he repeated over again his questions. I couldn't help but wonder if he couldn't go to the staff on a one-to-one basis and get answers to his questions, or look into the project on his own. I'm sure the staff must hide when they see him coming. I would.

Office buildings and massive hotels are not the sights I expected to see as I enter our city. It is no longer a "village." The town center, even with a Lowe's, may give us a feeling of that. Thelma Ploesch Westlake Village
