CPR classes now offered

Each year countless lives, young and old, are saved by individuals trained in CPR and First Aid. Individuals interested in learning these lifesaving skills are encouraged to call the American Red Cross chapter office at (805) 339-2234, ext. 233. Advance registration for any of these courses is required.

A "First Aid Only" course will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., July 1 at 836 Calle Plano, Camarillo. The fee is $40.

Adult CPR with First Aid will be offered at the following locations. The fee is $50.

+From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fri., July 7 at 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

+From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., July 15 at 1605 E. Burnley St., Camarillo.

+From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., July 22 at 4801 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.

Adult, Child & Infant CPR with First Aid (described by the Red Cross as "a one-person rescue course") will be offered at the following locations. The fee is $60. It is recommended for those seeking their teaching credential, and for foster parents or those wishing to have these skills for their general knowledge.

+From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat., July 8 (repeated Sat., July 22) at 3901 Alamo St., Simi Valley.

+From 5:30 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays, July 11 and 18, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fri., July 21, at 836 Calle Plano, Camarillo.
