WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS-Actress Paris Hilton takes a break from shooting "A Simple Life" at the Agoura Hills home of Doug and Shari Nolan to visit with Doug and his daughter, Lily. The episode aired on the E! Entertainment channel. Shari and Doug Nolan recently got a dose of reality-or was it "surreality"-when Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie filmed "The Simple Life" at the Nolans' Agoura Hills home.

"The Simple Life" is a hit Fox reality television show starring the rich, famous and ditzy duo of Paris and Nicole as they attempt to live life on a farm as lesbian wedding planners, and at the Nolans' home as a pregnant wife and mother. Filming of the episode started

in February when Shari, 30, a stay-at-home mom with a daughter, Lily, 3, was nine months pregnant with her second child. The famously feuding Paris and Nicole attended the delivery of the baby, Aiden, but their contract stipulates that the pair separately film each episode.

The fun began, Shari said, when they each strutted their domestic stuff, or lack of it, when Aiden turned 8 weeks old.

To delve into the part, Paris wore a faux 35-pound belly-but not for long. One of her jobs as a pregnant mom was to baby-proof the home, Shari said.

"Paris made a huge mess," Shari said. "She took rolls of bubble wrap and wrapped everything-toys, furniture, pictures, all in bubble wrap." Her havoc extended into the kitchen, with dishes, food and appliances strewn about everywhere.

"She totally overexaggerated being a horrible housewife," Shari said.

But they may not have been exaggerating their lack of babysitting skills when they each spent a day with Lily. Nicole spent her day (fake) tattooing "rock and roll" on the youngster's knuckles and painted a gang member's tear under Lily's eye.

Paris managed to upset Lily with the suggestion that they change her brother's name to Cactus.

The friction in the Nolan household escalated when the "girls" got hold of Shari's husband, Doug, 34.

"Nicole was the raunchy one," Shari said. The simple life in Agoura Hills meant that Doug needed a night out on the town. Ritchie chose a simple strip club in Granada Hills to help the man of the house relax before his life would be forever changed by the birth of a second child.

To make matters worse, the show's producers asked Shari to call her husband at the club. She found herself talking with Doug while he was in the midst of a lap dance.

"It was fun for me," Doug said.

"I was very much in the doghouse with Shari at the end of the show," Doug said. "They made me do it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. They said the same things as me-'they made me do it.'"

The strip club incident, Shari said, did create "minor discord," but she admitted that part of the strife might have been due to her own surging pregnancy hormones.

And Nicole's raunchiness didn't stop at the strip club. She attended the Nolans' Lamaze class where the teacher asked Nicole and Doug to demonstrate positions for intimacy while pregnant.

Compromising positions aside, Shari liked the celebrities. She said that once Paris had gotten some sleep after a hectic week of Oscar parties, she was much easier to be around.

"They were both pretty normal and nice, actually," Shari said. Doug characterized the reality television experience as "just living inside of a cartoon."

Even Lily warmed up to Paris and Nicole by the end of filming.

"They ended up being friends in the end," Shari said.

After the show was complete, the Nolans' house was cleaned up and the couple paid $5,000 for their part in "The Simple Life."

The episode was first aired June 4 on the E! Entertainment channel and has been rerun several times.
