Karate classes

The Agoura Hills Department of Community Services is taking registration from youth ages 4 to 16 for karate classes.

Taught by black belt Sensei Laura Cox from Shotokan Karate Studio in Newbury Park, the classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Thurs., July 6 at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd.

For ages 4 to 5, the pre-karate session will help children become familiar with basic karate techniques including stretching, flexibility and coordination.
