Helmet House acquires property

Senior vice presidents Bob Flink and Bob Shafer of the Calabasas office of Lee & AssociatesLA North/Ventura have completed the $5.4 million sale of a 51,000-square-foot industrial warehouse at 770 Lawrence Drive, Newbury Park.

Their client, B-M Properties, is the real estate arm of Helmet House, the Calabasas Hills-based distributor of high-quality motorcycle helmets and manufacturer of riding gear for the power sports industry. The Newbury Park site will

accommodate the company's continued rapid expansion. Amenities include heavy power, 20-foot ceilings, and drive-in access.

Founded in 1969, Helmet House has a reputation as one of the pre-eminent U.S. suppliers and marketers of motorcycling gear, including the Tour Master, Cortech, Shoei, HJC and Oxtar brands.

Shafer and Flink of Lee & Associates represented the buyer. Jim McDonald Group100 represented the seller, Newbury Park Associates.
