Youth teams pile up big wins and championship trophies
THAT'S HOT-The Red Hot Chili Peppers, an AYSO girls U-12 All-Star team representing Region 4, won the second-place medal in the Torrance Armed Forces Day Tournament. GRIDIRON STARS SHINE ON THE BIG STAGE-The Agoura /Oak Park Eagles and the Simi Valley Patriots of the Pacific Youth Football League (PYFL) played each other at Staples Center before a recent Los Angeles Avengers game. The Eagles came out on top, 25-0, but the thrill and excitement of playing on a professional football field outweighed winning or losing for both teams.
