Town Center will be welcome

We are getting there. I have seen it with my own eyes. The signatures are stacking up in support of putting the Town Center at Westlake Village Act on the November ballot. Seeing the large number of signatures supporting the Town Center proves this project is right for our community.

People are scared of numbers and see the words "Town Center" and think traffic. They forget that the only other option for this land is an office complex that will bring in a heavy flow of unwanted traffic.

We currently have two office buildings on that same street; we do not need another. As a resident of Westlake Village for over 30 years, I truly feel the Town Center would be a great asset to our city and the residents of Westlake Village.

In addition, many people have the misconception this was going to be a Lowe's home appliance store with limited space for other retailers when in fact the present plan calls for at least four restaurants and three retail stores. This would bring in revenue of over $750,000 to our community compared to the $100,000 in revenue that an office complex would generate. Maximum revenue, minimum traffic issues-I vote yes. Don P.
