Tactics on Lowe's are deceptive

Lowe's is bound and determined to shove this down our throat. Now they are out soliciting signatures. My husband was recently approached by a paid signature gatherer and she stated gushingly, "Do you want to sign a petition to get the Town Center on the ballot?"

Only after my husband said, "You mean Lowe's, don't you?"

And then she replied, "Yes, it will have a Lowe's."

They are using deceptive tactics to get your signature. If you look at the initiative you will realize this is just a guise to get the zoning changed.

Signer beware, the initiative amends the General Plan and Specific Plan by changing the land use designation to allow 227,500 square feet "general commercial." And it approves a preliminary site plan that includes Lowe's, allows for destruction of oak trees (and would place) freeway signs and directional signs at the corner of Lindero and Russell Ranch roads.

Please don't be fooled by their glossy advertisement and slick representatives. They don't care about Westlake Village or anyone else but their own selfish interests. I encourage you to read before you sign, and I am confident once you do, you will realize this is just a Trojan horse. Cheryl Tabbi Westlake Village
