New Agoura Hills fire station is ready to roll


GRAND OPENING-The Los Angeles County Fire Department will dedicate its new Fire Station 89, located at 29575 Canwood St. in Agoura Hills, with a public ceremony on Fri., June 16 at 10 a.m. Here, Capt. Jerry Reese, right, and his A-team shift show off the $4-million, 12,000-square-foot facility that will serve as Fire Department battalion headquarters. It includes a paramedic squad and training classroom. The station is the first to be located within the Agoura Hills city limits. Tomorrow's grand opening will include station tours, equipment displays, refreshments and an opportunity for the public to meet their local firefighters.
