Honor a life in golf tourney

The community of Calabasas will gather to celebrate the life of Kyle Patrick Rudow by participating in the third annual Kyle Rudow Memorial Golf Tournament on Mon., June 19.

Rudow died in 2003 at the age of 20 in an automobile accident.

The varsity athlete at Calabasas High School excelled in all he did.Continuing his education at the University of Washington, Rudow became a popular member of Washington's Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. His generosity and capacity for giving influenced his family and friends to create a memorial in his honor.

The golf tournament has raised more than $50,000 in its first two years, supporting scholarship funds at Calabasas High School, the University of Washington Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, CASA of Los Angeles, UNICEF and Brandon's Village in Calabasas.

The tournament will be at Calabasas Golf and Country Club, 4515 Park Entrada. It is a scramble format (foursomes/ fivesomes).There will be a raffle and live auction at the barbecue dinner.
