Students wins prize for essay on Ben Franklin


TOP NOTCH-Mary Alice Ambrose, regent of the DAR's Don Jose de  Ortega  chapter  of  the  National  Society  Daughters  of  the American Revolution,  pins  a medal on Lisa  Liu  for  her winning entry in this year's school essay contest. Lisa's topic was "Benjamin Franklin-More than a Revolutionary." Lisa received a $50 savings bond and a DAR Excellence in History Medal. She's a student at A.C. Stelle Middle School in Calabasas.
