Author will discuss Holocaust Award-winning author Trudi Alexy will discuss her new book "In Search of Forgiveness: The Hard but Healing Journey to SelfAcceptance" at 7 p.m. Wed., June 14 at the New JCC at Milken, on the Bernard Milken Jewish Community Campus, 22622 Vanowen St., West Hills. Torn by guilt over surviving the Holocaust "by fraud," the then-11-year-old Trudi became involved with the Catholic Church and the Christian promise of redemption. She even planned to become a nun but left the church, disillusioned by antiSemitism, guilt and depression. Alexy also is the author of "The Mezuzah in the Madonna's Foot" and "The Marrano Legacy." A free program, the event is presented by the Rosenkrantz Library at the New JCC at Milken. For more information or to make reservations, call (818) 464-3281. |
