Westlake resident seeks Superior Court post
David W. Stuart David W. Stuart, a longtime Westlake Village resident, is making a bid on June 6 for Los Angeles County Superior Court judge, office No. 144.
Stuart is a criminal prosecutor with the Los Angeles County Dis
trict Attorney's office and has been handling felony criminal cases in Superior Court since 1995. He serves as a temporary judge in Ventura County Superior Court. "I believe my many years of
experience as a criminal prosecutor have prepared me well to serve as a Superior Court judge," Stuart said.
Stuart received his law degree with honors from Loyola University Law School in Los Angeles. He served as a law clerk to U.S. Judge Manuel Real and worked as an associate with a civil law firm before joining the district attorney's office.
Stuart has received endorsements from District Attorney Steve Cooley and Sheriff Lee Baca, and organizations such as Crime Victims United and the Los Angeles County Police Chiefs Association.
Stuart lives in Westlake Village with his wife, Joslyn, and their two daughters, Allyson and Hannah.
