ADAM DAVIS/Acorn Newspapers THE SETUP-Adam Quinn of Oak Park sets the ball for Daniel Freeman during the second round of the Division IV CIF-SS playoffs against Santiago last Friday at Oak Park High. The Eagles won the match, 25-15, 25-21, 25-17, and advanced to last night's semifinal against Valley Christian. On the opposite end of the Division IV bracket, Oaks Christian was on the road to play Brentwood. If both teams won their respective semifinal matches, they'll meet in the championship final Saturday at Cypress College. Results were not available prior to press time. More ...

BIG TIME-Agoura's Robert Stock, second from left, Freddie Freeman (El Modena High) and Josh Vitters (Cypress High) were announced as official selections to the Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic roster and were presented with Aflac All-American team jerseys by Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Sandy Alomar, far left, and first baseman Nomar Garciaparra, right, during a pregame ceremony at Dodger Stadium. The Aflac All-American Baseball Classic is the nation's premier high school baseball game, showcasing the top 38 players in the country as selected by Baseball America and prep scouting service Perfect Game USA.
