WHY A DUCK?-Justin Perez-Norwood, 10, a Thousand Oaks resident, takes a gander at the thousands of rubber ducks in the holding pool at The Lakes before the start of the eighth annual Many Mansions Duck Race on Sunday. Participants could adopt a single duck for $10, a "sixquack" for $50, on up to a platinum flock for a $200 donation. Over 10,000 rubber ducks actually bobbed in the race which supported Many Mansions' work providing affordable housing and life-enriching services for residents of Ventura County. More ...
