This year's National Charity League debutantes announced
Kristine Benton Kristine Amos Benton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Benton of Thousand Oaks, will be graduating from Thousand Oaks High School. She plans to attend Moorpark College before entering Azusa Pacific University. She is interested in becoming an elementary teacher or a pastry chef. Her achievements include Honor Roll, scholar athlete, varsity all league water polo player with honorable mention and water polo JV co-captain. Kristine has donated 424 hours to charity. The Conejo Valley Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) introduced its 2006 debutantes as part of a recent New Member and Debutante Announcement Tea at Sherwood Country Club, Thousand Oaks.

nior Ticktockers, who've contributed more than 8,000 collective hours during their six-year membership in NCL. Incoming Ticktockers and their mothers were also presented.
NCL is a nonprofit, motherdaughter organization supporting local community agencies and charity organizations.
The Conejo Valley Chapter assists more than 20 charitable agencies in the community and raises funds through its annual Day of Giving fundraiser and its Thousand Oaks thrift shop, Fibber McGee's Closet. The money raised is distrib
Jenna Brummett Jenna Brummett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Brummett of Agoura Hills, will be graduating from Agoura High School. Jenna plans to attend Diablo Valley College before entering St. Mary's College of California where she will major in child psychology. Working together, mothers and daughters volunteer their time and energy to help others. Girls typically enter the program in seventh grade and continue through 12th grade when they may choose to become a debutante.
The 15 debutantes have made a large contribution to the Conejo Valley. In celebration of their six years of service, they will also be presented at the National Charity League Ball in November at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza.
Carly Erickson Carly Marie Erickson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs.Tad Erickson of Westlake Village, is graduating from Westlake High School. Carly plans to attend the University of Oregon, where she will major in English. Carly received a junior varsity letter in track for two years, was recognized at the Conejo Teen Film Festival, and has a work of poetry published in "A Treasury of American Poetry." She has donated 432 hours to charity. Kaitlyn Frake Kaitlyn Marie Frake, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Frake of Simi Valley, is graduating from La Reina High School. She plans to attend Moorpark College before entering the University of Southern California. Kaitlyn has participated in track and has been a retreat leader. She has donated 339 hours to charity. Jessica Hagy Jessica Nancy Hagy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Hagy of Thousand Oaks, is graduating from Oaks Christian School. Jessica plans to attend the University of Southern California, where she will major in broadcast journalism. Her achievements include Headmaster's List, Dean's List, Spanish IV Outstanding Award, American Theatre Festival participant and varsity scholar athlete award for cheerleading. Jessica has donated 341 hours to charity. Jennifer Halligan Jennifer Patricia Halligan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Halligan of Westlake Village, will graduate from Westlake High School. Jennifer plans to attend Loyola Marymount University. Her achievements include girls' golf team, newspaper editor and PTSA. Jennifer has donated 605 hours to charity. Christina Kemp Christina Nicole Kemp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kemp of Thousand Oaks, will be graduating from Westlake High School. Christina plans to attend Pepperdine University. Her achievements include membership in the California Scholarship Federation. Christina has donated 433 hours to charity. Elizabeth McElroy Elizabeth Abigail McElroy, daughter of Gail McElroy-Levy and Thomas McElroy of Westlake Village, is graduating from Westlake High School. Elizabeth plans to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, majoring in business. Her achievements include California Scholarship Federation, Honor Roll for four years and scholar athlete. She's donated 453 hours to charity. Jennifer Nunez Jennifer Rose Nunez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Nunez of Oak Park, will be graduating from Oak Park High School. She plans to attend UCLA as a prelaw major. Her achievements include varsity golf captain, yearbook sports editor, ABS president, mock trial and National Honor Society. Jennifer has donated 772 hours to charity. Kattarina Oswaks Kattarina Georgy Oswaks, daughter of Doreen Fox Oswaks of Westlake Village and Jonathan Oswaks of Thousand Oaks, will graduate from Westlake High School. She plans to attend Long Island University at Brooklyn, N.Y., majoring in cinematography and film studies. Her achievements include Associated Student Government, water polo team, Xteam national lacrosse team, "CLASH" Conejo Valley lacrosse team, most valuable player Westlake tennis team and most valuable player on the Conejo lacrosse team. She received a first place award in a PTAsponsored competition for two-dimensional art. Kattarina has donated 483 hours to charity. Ashley Pearsall Ashley Anne Pearsall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pearsall of Westlake Village, is graduating from Westlake High School. Ashley plans to attend the University of Arizona, where she will major in sociology. She has donated 355 hours to charity. Meagan Raab Meagan Elizabeth Raab, daughter of Kathleen Anderson Raab and Robert Raab Jr. of Westlake Village, is graduating from Oaks Christian School. She plans to attend the University of San Francisco, where she will major in creative writing. Her achievements include JV and varsity water polo, JV cheer squad, JV swim team, Golden State Exams Academic Excellence Award, American High School Theatre Festival 2005 in Edinburgh, Scotland and Honor Roll. She has donated 409 hours to charity. Roopa Radhakrishnan Roopa Lakshmi Radhakrishnan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rama Radhakrishnan of Thousand Oaks, is graduating from Westlake High School. She plans to attend UC Irvine where she will major in biology. Her achievements include National Honor Society treasurer, mock trial prosecuting attorney, Academic Excellence Award, and a four-year membership in the Thousand Oaks Youth Commission. Roopa has donated 762 hours to charity. Sabrina Saltzman Sabrina V. Saltzman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Saltzman of Westlake Village, will be graduating from Laurel Springs High School. She also attended Westlake High School. Sabrina plans to attend Chapman University where she will major in public relations. Sabrina teaches horseback riding and also trains young horses. She has donated 409 hours to charity. Chelsea Snow Chelsea Robin Snow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Snow of Westlake Village, will be graduating from Agoura High School. Chelsea plans to attend UC Davis, where she will major in English. Chelsea was secretary of the Christian Club. She has donated 414 hours to charity. |
