Sign up for Pizazz music camp

Students entering grades 1 to 8 in the fall are eligible to apply for the 14th annual Pizazz summer musical arts camp scheduled for Aug. 7 to 11 at the United Methodist Church of Westlake Village, 1049 Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

The program will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, with a 7 p.m. performance for families and friends. Extended day care is available.

In honor of Mozart's 250th birthday, the camp's theme is "Mozart, Musicals and More." Students will explore the composer's life and music and the development of the musical in a nonreligious arts curriculum.

Tuition, including a $20 nonrefundable application fee, is $100 with a $5 discount given for additional children in the same family. There's a $10 discount for applications received by June 4. Limited scholarship assistance is available.

The camp is sponsored by the music ministry of the United Methodist Church of Westlake Village.
