Yes on Measure G

Measure G on the June ballot will allocate $24 million for two performing arts centers at Calabasas and Agoura high schools.

Anyone who attended the dazzling production of "Seussical the Musical" at Calabasas High School must realize that a theater facility is desperately needed for the scores of talented students who attend CHS.

Under the inspired creative direction of Bill Garrett, the school's multipurpose room was magically transformed into a Dr. Seuss wonderland, where music and laughter filled the air.

A theater was part of the original plan for the campus, but eliminated under the shadow of Proposition 13.

Many believe that Calabasas High School deserves a theater where aspiring young talent can learn and grow to become the professional performance artists of tomorrow.

Assemblymember Fran Pavley said it best: "If you want to nurture the heart and soul of a city, you contribute to the arts." Toby Keeler Calabasas
