Theory behind bonds is flawed Let's say a retired family whose children went through the Oak Park Unified School District has sold their four-bedroom home and moved to a condo. If the B6 and C6 school bonds pass, they will be paying an exorbitant amount if, say, their new condo cost about $400,000 more than the home they were living in. They are on a fixed income. This is computed wrong and is unfair. The schools have won many awards despite an occasional leaky roof, and the teachers are not going to leave and our property values are not going to go down. Maybe next year. This year, let's pay off some bills. Vote no on C6 and B6. We can always vote yes in a year or two. What some of us will save is enough money for one year of college.
