Aliyah hosts Israeli Shabbat

Hazzan Mike Stein of Temple Aliyah has created an Israeli Shabbat that will be presented at 8:15 p.m. Fri., May 19 at the temple, 6025 Valley Circle Blvd., Woodland Hills.

Attendees will experience Shabbat music "straight from the heart of Jerusalem that will stir your soul," according to Stein.

The service features noted oud player and composer Yuval Ron. The oud is a Middle Eastern lute.

Shabbat in Israel is part of the Every Third Shabbat program where Jewish music from around the world is featured at Temple Aliyah.
